MU plans week of MLK remembrance, service

The two-week long program provides ample opportunities for the Madonna University community to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King, the school's Franciscan values, and similarities between the two.  
Presently, the MLK programming is scheduled Jan.14-20. The candlelight vigil for celebration is set for Jan. 20.

While a new study called "Stress in America" reported the average stress level for Millennials was 5.4 on a 10-point scale, an informal survey of Madonna students found a higher stress levels, especially as finals week approaches.

German-born athlete battles injuries to succeed at Madonna

Madonna freshman goalkeeper Marcel Schmid had an outstanding first season as a Crusader. He has journeyed through an injury-riddled career and overcame the obstacles in order to be successful. With three years of eligibility remaining at Madonna, Schmid sees a bright future for the soccer program and wants to lead his team to glory.

Volleyball captain Emilie Freeman looks to guide her team through a successful season with bigger goals on the horizon.  
The Crusaders are the No. 4 team in the nation led behind their star middle hitter and will appear in the NAIA National Tournament in December sporting a perfect record.
