Madonna University honors Martin Luther King Jr

The six-day long program provides ample opportunities for the Madonna University community to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King, the school's Franciscan values, and similarities between the two.  
Presently, the MLK programming is scheduled Jan.14-20. The candlelight vigil for celebration is set for Jan. 20.

New Coast Guard Auxiliary Program launches at Madonna

The Coast Guard and Madonna University have teamed up to launch a Coast Guard Auxiliary Program within our university.  Students can begin enrollment in the program in the Winter 2014 semester.

Madonna University has new monuments on the corners of Schoolcraft and Levan and Schoolcraft and Newburgh. The signs display more traditional and collegiate design. The university is optimistic the signs will communicate the message that Madonna is a great place to attend.

Kappa Delta Pi book drive a success

A recent book drive by the Madonna chapter of Kappa Delta Pi gathers more than 600 books as part of their "Literacy Alive!" event. The drive will benefit a local Livonia elementary school.

Sheesh, a restaurant located on 5 Mile and Newburgh Road, appeals well to the lunch crowd with inexpensive food. The location near campus makes it a good place to grab lunch between classes.
A new way to look at theater
TerpTheatre, started by Madonna graduates Shelly Tocco and Daniel McDougall, has changed the theater world. Through shadow interpretation, TerpTheatre has made theater more accessible for all patrons. 
No Strings Attached holds concert
The a capella vocal group No Strings Attached recently held a performance. Not only did the group perform Christmas songs, the performance also featured talented soloists. Also watch a special performance by No Strings Attached, arranged in honor of Megan Barnard, founder of the group, who is graduating.

Crusader women's basketball makes goodwill their mantra

The Madonna women's basketball team only has one senior but doesn't act youthful. The team stays heavily involved in the community visiting schools, giving to the needy, taking field trips with kids, and more.


Madonna's volleyball playoff run ends in quarterfinals

The Crusaders volleyball team had many great achievements in the 2013-14 season. Their journey came to an end in the elite eight of the NAIA National Tournament. Madonna says goodbye to a senior class that has left their footprint in Madonna history. The senior group reflects on this season and their careers wearing the blue and gold.

Crusaders men's hoops looks to outdo last season's success
Coming off the most successful season in Madonna men's basketball history, coach Noel Emenhiser aims to take his team to another level of success. With the top-three scorers from last season returning, expectations are higher than ever for the program.
